We invite you to be part of the Celebration of the decade
29 years of “The Australian Dance Championships”
Introducing Showcase, the largest Dance event in Australian History. With Dance now officially recognized as the most popular sport among young dancers in Australia and New Zealand, Showcase has become the number 1 platform for dancers to compete for the Nation's top titles. Join us and be a part of this incredible experience. This season, Showcase will be awarding over $180,000+ in cash and prizes, making it the largest cash awards and prizes given in Australian Dance Competition history.
Since the mid-1990s, Showcase National Dance Championships has been dominating the Dance competition industry in Australia. Over the years, we have awarded over 2 million dollars worth of cash awards and prizes. We take pride in our professionalism and have become a beloved event for countless generations of dancers. Our goal is to provide a high-level event that is also fun and educational, all within a safe environment.
The level of Dance competitions has reached new heights, and the competition is fierce. Every dancer wants to secure the top spot at the Australian Dance Championships. However, it is important for us all to work together to ensure a fun and memorable experience for the dancers and their families.
In 2023, we are thrilled to announce that the Dancer of the Year winners will be taken to "Italy" for the World Dance Movement, and Team New Zealand and Team Australia for the Dance World Cup (subject to government travel borders being opened). After the tremendous success of previous trips to Barcelona Spain, Italy, and Portugal, we are excited to continue offering these rewarding opportunities. Europe is currently the hub for Dance, and we don't want your child to miss out on these incredible travel experiences.
In the 2023 season, we are adapting to the times and offering more ways than ever to qualify for the Jan 2024 Gold Coast finals at "The Star Casino." With over 50 official locations offering qualifications for solo, Duo/Trios, Groups, and Dancer of the Year, as well as online video submissions and in-house studio comps, we are providing dancers with a variety of options during the pandemic while prioritising their safety.
We have listened to our dedicated participants and have made the decision to require all acts to qualify for the National level, including Dancer of the Year. This ensures fairness and equal opportunities for all dancers.
At Showcase, we are committed to addressing the impact of "social media" and educating young influential dancers on how to use it in a positive way. We are proud to be a part of the "Australian National Dance Competition Alliance," which guarantees not only trust in our Australian brand but also a commitment to child safety and fair rules across all competitions. We work closely with the NSW Child Guardian to create safe environments that all families can enjoy during our events.
We are excited to welcome you this season. Join us at Showcase and be a part of the largest Dance event in Australian history.
